LADY EAGLES ONE STEP FROM GOLD
Georgetown Lady Eagles defeat San Antonio Brennan 44-30 to win their State 4A semi-final game. The girls are now only one game away from the State Championship. On Saturday afternoon at 3pm in the Frank Erwin Center, Georgetown, the #1 team in the State will play Lincoln, the #2 team in the State for the Class 4A championship. The team motto picked at the beginning of the season is “Going For The Gold” and they are now just one step away. GO LADY EAGLES! WIN STATE!!

LADY EAGLES IN STATE SEMI-FINAL
The Lady Eagle basketball team defeated Rosenburg Lamar Consolidated and Tomball in the Region 3-4A Tournament to advance to the UIL State Tournament this week at the Erwin Center in Austin. Georgetown will play Northside Brennan in the semifinals on Thursday at 8:30 PM. Tickets are $10 presale and $12 at the door. The ticket is good for the session which also features a 7:00 PM semifinal between Dallas Lincoln and Aledo. Lady Eagles beat Barbers Hill 42-40
On Tuesday night the Georgetown Lady Eagles defeated the Barbers Hill Lady Eagles with a rebound put back with 2 seconds to go. This game was one of the most exciting and incredible games in Georgetown girls basketball history. It certainly will rank up there with the greatest comebacks to win in a critical playoff game and keeps the hopes of winning a state championship alive. LADY EAGLES WIN AREA PLAYOFF
On Friday night the Georgetown Lady Eagles defeated Vidor to win the Area playoff game. The team now moves onto the Regional Quarterfinal round game and will play Barbers Hill, at Brenham High School on Tuesday night, February 19 at 7:00pm.
LADY EAGLES WIN BI-DISTRICT
On Monday night the Georgetown Lady Eagles defeated Magnolia to win Bi-District playoff game. The team now moves onto the Area playoffs and will play Vidor, at Waller High School on Friday night, February 15 at 7:00pm.
GEORGETOWN WINS WINNSBORO HOOPFEST
The Lady Eagles defeated home team Winnsboro 51-37 to win the Winnsboro Hoopfest on Saturday afternoon.
