Dearest Friends,
We hope you are safe and healthy.  We miss you so much but know that each day brings us closer to an end to this pandemic.
Last week our players, coaches, and DeAnn Porfirio Rutledge worked hard to do something fun and uplifting for the community.  DeAnn played for us and is a Lady Eagle and her daughter Abigail will be a varsity manager and Caroline will be a freshman player.  We collaborated and Hoops for Hope was born.  Our great supporters from Minuteman Press and Waterboy Graphics, Ty and Crystal Gipson, made and donated the signs and our players hand decorated them.  Everyone worked together via GoogleChat and the signs were placed at supporting businesses and governmental entities in our community.
Check out @CoachFarney on Twitter, Rhonda Farney on Facebook, HelloGeorgetown.com, The Williamson Co Sun has an article, and we will be on Friday morning at 7a and you can listen at HRNGeorgetown.com/listen, on the Hipp Radio Network Facebook page, or download the Hipp RADIO NETWORK app on Android or iPhone, or say, “Alexa, listen to HRN Georgetown.
Thirty-three signs are now located in our community.  We have invited everyone through social media to find all the signs like a scavenger hunt.  As you find a sign, snap a photo and post @CoachFarney on Twitter and/or on FaceBook with Rhonda Farney.  Add how the sign of hope made you feel or anything positive that you want to share.  See the attached flyer.
We also wanted to do something special for all our Sun City friends and fans.  Please go to this link and enjoy.  We miss seeing you and love you.  My prayer is that we all stay healthy, can see each other soon, and start school and sports in the Fall!
