The Lady Eagle Ball — Georgetown girls basketball’s lone fundraiser of the year — is scheduled from 5-7:30 p.m. Sunday in the GHS Cafeteria. The event combines the best of Meet the Eagles Night and Bingo Ball. The players in the program will be introduced along with their coaches and support personnel at various points in the program and there will be prizes, including a $5,000 cash prize, auctions of nine senior cakes and autographed balls and cases along with a barbecue plate from Pok-e-Jo’s.

“We feel it will be a fun and entertaining evening for everybody,” GHS coach Rhonda Farney said. In addition to the big-money prizes there will be a game of “Heads or Tails” that will reward the winner with a weekend stay in a Lake House at Port Aransas. Other games will climax with rewards such as a diamond tennis bracelet donated by Quenan’s Fine Jeweler and a rocking chair with customized names.
